What Are User Permissions And How To Manage Them On PubNinja?

A comprehensive guide to managing content contributors on your website.

Overview

User permissions are access permissions for other contributors (users) to your website. This feature is useful for organizations and for collaborations where more than one user contributes to the website. As the owner of the website, you can define the user roles and decide which contributors get to do what on your website. The owner of the website has access to all the features by default.

Here's how you can manage the various user permissions:

Step 1: Settings

Click on 'User Management' under the 'Settings' tab.

Step 2: Edit Permissions

Click on the three vertical dots against the user's profile. Then click on 'Edit Permissions'.

Step 3: Enable or Disable Permissions

The following permissions would be enabled by default for all new users (contributors). You can disable individual permissions for individual users to define who gets access to what.

1. Create

a. Edit - Enabling this permission would let the user edit any piece of content on your website. It only grants editing rights and not the ability to publish the content on your website.

b. Publish - Enabling this permission would allow the user to publish any piece of content on your website.

c. Write - Enabling this permission would allow the user to create content on your website. It does not allow them to edit or publish that piece of content unless they have editing and publishing permissions as well.

2. Share

a. Manage Account - Enabling this permission would allow the user to manage various social media accounts linked to your website. They would be able to add Twitter handles or Facebook pages or delete their connections with your website.

b. Newsletter - Enabling this permission would allow the user to create newsletter campaigns on behalf of your website.

c. Social Schedule - Enabling this permission would allow the user to schedule content on the linked Twitter handle and Facebook page.

3. Earn

a. Manage Ads - Enabling this permission would allow the user to manage the ads on your page by enabling or disabling them based on the requirement.

b. Read Insight Revenues - Enabling this permission would give the user access to your revenue insights including earnings from ads, subscribers, and insights of your website's traffic.

4. Settings

a. User Management - Enabling this permission would allow the user to add new users to your website, remove existing users, and enabling various permissions for different users.

b. Website Settings - Enabling this permission would allow the user to modify the website settings and change various aspects of your website as required.
